YOUR CORPORATE BLACK GIRL X PINKDOLLHOUSE MARKETING collaborate on social fundraiser for the African American Marketing Association
This fundraiser ended December 13, 2020. Thanks to your support, we were able to help fund the African American Marketing Associations tech and website fees for the year.
Your Corporate Black Girl founder Funke Adeniji, and PinkDollhouse Marketing founder Yvonne Pearson are joining forces to raise awareness and amplify the voices of Black women in Marketing through the social movement #MPowerBlackWomenMarketers. Inspired by the #PullUporShutup movement started by Uoma Beauty founder Sharon Chuter, Yvonne Pearson created the hashtag to spark a conversation about the lack of diversity in the field of marketing.
Currently, Black women represent only 10% of professionals who work in the industry, ranging from entry-level to executive. To help raise awareness, Yvonne designed a limited-edition line of t-shirts, a percentage of proceeds going directly to The African-American Marketing Association (AAMA). A 501(c)(3), not-for-profit membership organization whose mission is to foster the growth and professional development of African-American marketers, creatives, and entrepreneurs.
The shirts are being printed by a Black woman-owned company, Incredible Designs founded by Meisha Easley, located in the Hyattsville Arts District. Shirts are now available for pre-sale on the Your Corporate Black Girl website.
